In BiH, 62 new cases of coronavirus infection, out of 822 samples tested

SARAJEVO, July 6 (FENA) - In the Federation of BiH, 688 samples were tested in 24 hours, of which 46 were positive for COVID-19.

New cases have been registered in Tuzla, Zenica-Doboj, Central Bosnia, Una-Sana, Bosnia-Podrinje and Sarajevo Canton, according to the Institute of Public Health of the Federation of BiH.

A total of 61 confirmed deaths have been reported in the Federation of BiH so far.

In Republika Srpska, 134 samples were tested in the past 24 hours, and coronavirus infection was confirmed in 16 people, while two deaths were reported, confirmed Dr. Jela Aćimović, an epidemiology specialist at the RS Institute of Public Health.

She pointed out that 2.609 cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in that BiH entity so far, of which 1.380 have recovered and 131 deaths have been recorded.

“In the past 24 hours, two deaths were reported, and one person was 41 years old,” said Aćimović at the press conference in Banja Luka.
