BANJA LUKA, June 24 (FENA) - Member of the parliamentary group "Together for BiH" in the RS National Assembly Senad Bratić warned today that the Agency for Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HEA BiH) is the only one responsible for representing BiH and its entities with the competent international organizations.
“Entity agencies can do that with the authorization of the Parliamentary Assembly and the Presidency of BiH,” said Bratić during the debate in the National Assembly of RS on the Draft Law on Quality Assurance in Higher Education in RS.
He pointed out that the accreditation of higher education institutions is carried out by HEA in cooperation with the Agency for Accreditation of Higher Education Institutions of RS.
According to him, the conflict of jurisdiction and non-complience with the Framework Law on Higher Education of BiH runs through the entity bill.
He pointed out that HEA is responsible for adopting norms that set minimum standards in the field of higher education.
The Minister of Scientific and Technological Development, Higher Education and Information Society of the Republic of Srpska, Srdjan Rajčević, explaining in the National Assembly this draft law, said that higher education is in the competence of the entity.
