SARAJEVO, June 24 (FENA) - Sanela Gorušanović-Butigan has been elected the new vice president of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HJPC BiH) unanimously at the session of that council today.
She will perform duties of the Vice President of the HJPC BiH for the next four years.
Sanela Gorušanović-Butigan was born in Sarajevo, where she finished elementary and high school. She graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Sarajevo.
She has been a lecturer and participant in a number of seminars and conferences in the field of application of the Law on Protection against Defamation and Article 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, as well as international projects under the auspices of the HJPC BiH.
She was elected a member of the HJPC BiH in June this year among the judges of the cantonal and municipal courts of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the HJPC BiH announced.
