GORNJI VAKUF-USKOPLJE, June 17 (FENA) - As never before, domestic travel agencies have expanded their offer to include tours of interesting destinations in our country, which is mostly a reflection of the situation with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The ethno-village "Mirna dolina" (Serene Valley), located at Mačkar near Gornji Vakuf-Uskoplje, vies these circumstances with optimism, believing that this, untouched pearl of nature, will find its place on the maps of those who organize tourist trips.
“The ambience here is amazing as well as the overall experience, because we offer our guests numerous activities, with the possibility of a multi-day stay. We have worked hard in recent years and created conditions for the accommodation of entire families and organized groups of tourists, which are not uncommon in this area,” told FENA the owner of "Mirna dolina" Ramo Omeragić.
He points out that the drive to the ethno-village is inspiring itself, for all who visit this place, and that the charm of the setting has been experienced by numerous guests from all parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and many European countries, but also Saudi Arabia, USA, Australia, etc.
“They are delighted with the green landscapes, clean air, sources of drinking water, the beauty of nearby Vranica and Prokoško Lake, but also swimming pool, recreation areas and traditional food from our restaurant, especially fish specialties from our own, local fisheries,” he said.
He adds that all the planned works on expanding the capacity of the ethno-village have recently been completed, and that the opening of a salon for weddings and other type of events, was the right move.
In the end, he points out that this true natural oasis is located at an altitude of 850 meters, and that it is only eight kilometers away from the downtown of Gornji Vakuf-Uskoplje, and 120 kilometers from Sarajevo.
