BANJA LUKA, June 15 (FENA) - Coronavirus has been confirmed in 14 more people in the entity of Republika Srpska, after testing 154 samples, confirmed today an epidemiologist from the RS Institute of Public Health, Јеlеnа Đаković-Dеvić.
Four newly infected persons are from Čelinac, two each from Banja Luka and Doboj, and one each from Gradiška, Petrovo, Derventa, Modriča, Teslić and Prnjavor.
A total of 77 people tested positive for coronavirus have been hospitalized in the RS, of whom 23 in the UCC Banja Luka and 54 in other general hospitals.
A total of 1,680 people became ill from coronavirus in the RS.
She pointed out that it is necessary for citizens to respect the recommendations, including the use of a protective mask, social distancing, and the maintenance of hygienic and epidemiological measures.
At the moment, the most difficult situation is in Modriča, where the infection broke out in the "Alfa" footwear factory and currently there are 60 infected workers, 59 of whom are from Modriča, and the rest are from the surrounding towns.
The local hotspot is also present in Kostajnica, where 21 people became ill, and as she said, more patients can be expected.
The epidemiological situation has worsened in Zvornik, where the reemerging of coronavirus epidemic is associated with people who came from Italy and Serbia.
