MOSTAR, June 1 (FENA) - The coordinating body of the Initiative for the protection of the rights of inhabitants of the Southern Zone of the City of Mostar believes that the FBiH Motorways has misinformed the public in a statement referring to the land expropriation process for the construction of Corridor Vc in the area south of Mostar.
In that statement, the FBiH Motorways alleged that the owners of the expropriated land did not file a single appeal with the court, but failed to mention that the instruction on legal remedy clearly stated that no appeal could be filed against the conclusion on land expropriation in accordance with Article 220 of the Administrative Procedure Act, says the Initiative, adding that there were and are "numerous other legal obstacles to the implementation of the expropriation process".
"All evidence and facts indicate that the disputed section Mostar South - Buna is in fact a 'political motorway section' that was chosen and marked non-institutionally, without a public debate with the local population (Hodbina, Ortiješ, Lakiševine, Malo Polje, Kočine), without a study of the impact of the motorway route on the environment and people, without the consent of the Presidency of BiH for the expropriation of land at the location of Ortiješ (the area of the prospective military property) for which neither the Government of the Federation of BiH nor the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH, as lower instances bear any competences whatsoever,” it is said in a statement of the citizens’ initiative.
The citizens of Mostar initiative has called on the FBiH Motorways to organize a public debate with local residents whose lives are affected by the planned route of the motorway and to make a professional and politically independent study of the impact on the environment and people of the Mostar South - Buna motorway section.
