Izetbegović: Continuation of attacks of BiH Prosecutor's Office on Bosniaks

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, May 29 (FENA) - I am convinced that the apprehension of Prime Minister Novalic, humiliation and detention will prove completely unjustified. I call on the Prosecutor's Office of BiH to urgently go public with the evidence against Novalić and not to hide behind phrases about "the need for secrecy in order to protect the investigation”. I am sure that there is no evidence, that there will be none, and that it is a continuation of the attack on Bosniaks that began with the appointment of Gordana Tadić as Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH and a series of indictments against Generals of the Army of BiH, said SDA President Bakir Izetbegović.

He asks if Prime Minister Fadil Novalić was detained because of the "Ventilators" affair under "command responsibility", why were the FBiH Minister of Health, the Director of the Public Health Institute, Head of the Crisis Staff and the Minister of Finance of the Federation of BiH not detained and questioned?

“The only thing that separates them in relation to Fadil Novalić, is that they belong to the same constituent people as prosecutor Tadić. That are not Bosniaks. Prosecutor Tadić certainly does not think of calling the RS Prime Minister to testify, confiscating his mobile phone and keeping him in custody due to the scandal related to the procurement of a field hospital by the RS Government. Such humiliation is almost unthinkable, isn't it, because he is not Bosniak. The Prosecutor's Office of BiH cowardly amnestied the RS leadership, which carried out a blow to the decision of the Constitutional Court and organized an unconstitutional referendum before the 2018 elections. In the eyes of the domestic and international public, the case has been covered up. Can we imagine what would have happened to Bosniaks if they had done a similar thing?,” stated Izetbegović in his reaction.

Izetbegović also stressed that Prosecutor Tadić persistently avoids prosecuting cases of proven serious crimes against Bosniaks, which were forwarded to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH by The Hague Tribunal as a priority "A list". She evaded the "Horseshoe" affair with clear evidence against the president of the HJPC, amnestied the affair of the release of war criminal Marko Radić by the state minister of justice, etc. The criterion is clear - the perpetrators are not Bosniaks.
