SARAJEVO, May 28 (FENA) - Members of the Collegium of the House of Peoples Dragan Čović and Nikola Špirić, and members of the Collegium of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiHPA) Borjana Krišto and Denis Zvizdić met today with Head of the EU Delegation to BiH and EU Special Representative for BiH Johann Sattler.
Ambassador Sattler expressed satisfaction with the constructive role that the BiH Parliamentary Assembly has in the process of approaching the European Union, and stressed that it is very important to remain focused on working on key priorities that the country needs to meet in order to progress in the EU accession process.
The officials also discussed priorities that are supposed to be achievable in a relatively short period of time and which could be worked on until the upcoming local elections.
The members of the Collegium of both Houses pointed out that serious progress has already been made in the work on a significant number of priorities.
During the meeting, they emphasized that they would make an additional effort in order for the BiH Parliamentary Assembly to give its full contribution to the realization of tasks that mean additional progress in achieving candidate status, and that they will strive to achieve a constructive role even when with the obligations that the Council of Ministers, other bodies of BiH, as well as lower levels of government are facing, Press Service of the BiH PA announced.
