SARAJEVO, May 22 (FENA) - The handover of protective and medical equipment donated by the European Union to Bosnia and Herzegovina took place today in Rajlovac near Sarajevo.
The equipment mostly includes protective epidemiological equipment, as well as several X-ray machines and ventilators, with a total value of around 800.000 euros.
Head of the EU Delegation to BiH, Johann Sattler, stated that the EU has been working on the procurement of necessary equipment since the beginning of the pandemic, and that today he is pleased to be able to deliver what they promised.
“Also, the EU planned to invest 28 million euros in the health sector in BiH in the future,” said Sattler.
BiH Minister of Security Fahrudin Radončić thanked the EU Delegation to BiH for the donation and said it was very important.
“It is quality equipment for which we have secured service and a two-year warranty,” Radončić pointed out.
The purchase of equipment was funded by the EU as part of BiH's UNDP coronavirus assistance program.
