SARAJEVO, May 20 (FENA) - Member of the Collegium of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH and President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Bakir Izetbegović talked to the reporters in Sarajevo today regarding the allocation of IMF funds and said that it should be acted according to the Constitution and law.

According to him, it is clear that the Council of Ministers of BiH cannot tell the Federation of BiH how it will allocate funds.

"This matter is defined by the FBiH Parliament and all that is needed is simply to transfer funds to the entities, which will then give their share to the Brčko District, and the Federation will allocate the funds as already decided. So it is not clear to me where did this idea come from, unless it is an intention to make the cantons especially visible, to position the cantons as a new entity in relation to the Council of Ministers of BiH,” said Izetbegović.

At a meeting of political party leaders of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Bakir Izetbegović, the Croat Democratic Union (HDZ) of BiH, Dragan Čović and the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), Milorad Dodik, with representatives of the European Union Delegation to BiH and the United States Ambassador held on April 11, an agreement has been reached on the allocation of funds from the loan of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

As it was stated then, the 330 million euros worth loan will be divided into percentages - 62 percent for the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 38 percent for the entity of Republika Srpska, and half a percent from each of the entities will be secured for the Brčko District.

Governor of the Central Bank of BiH Senad Softić told FENA on May 7 that the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) as the fiscal agent of Bosnia and Herzegovina is still waiting for an instruction from the BiH Ministry of Finance and Treasury based on the decision of the BiH Council of Ministers to determine the allocation of funds from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
