Peršić: Four new cases of coronavirus infection out of 1.092 tested in FBiH

SARAJEVO, May 20 (FENA) - Public Relations Consultant of the FBiH Ministry of Health, Zlatan Peršić, said today that in the last 24 hours in FBiH, four new cases of coronavirus infection were recorded out of 1.092 tested.

"Currently, 25 patients positive for coronavirus are hospitalized in FBiH, and none of the patients are on a ventilator," Peršić pointed out.

He added that we currently have 109 active cases in FBiH, and that there have been no new deaths for several days now, a total of 37 deaths have been recorded so far.

Peršić stated that a total of 31.804 people have been tested in FBiH so far, and that 1.012 persons were positive for COVID-19, while 866 patients have recovered from the disease, 18 of them in the last 24 hours.

He specified that 257 cases have been registered in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton so far, 245 in the Zenica-Doboj Canton, 115 in the Sarajevo Canton, 108 in the Una-Sana Canton, 90 in Tuzla Canton, 87 in the West Herzegovina Canton, 43 in the Central Bosnia Canton and 41 in the Canton 10, 23 cases in the Bosnia-Podrinje Canton and three cases in the Posavina Canton.

"Measures introduced to combat the spread of the infection have yielded results, which proves that in the coming period we should maintain social distance and adhere to personal protection measures in order to maintain the current epidemiological situation, which is satisfactory," said Peršić.
