BIHAĆ, May 18 (FENA) - Members of the Operational Group for Coordination of Activities and Monitoring of the Migrant Crisis in the Una-Sana Canton (USC) adopted several conclusions at today's meeting, including demands for closure of the temporary reception center Bira in the center of Bihać, and relocation of unaccompanied minors to reception centers with more adequate conditions outside that canton.

The reception center Bira in Bihać must be closed, considering that the location for the center outside the populated area has been determined and adjusted. The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is asked to ensure all the conditions in the camp at the Lipa site for the reception of the remaining migrants from the Bira center. This is one of today's conclusions of the Operational Group for Coordination of Activities and Monitoring of the Migrant Crisis in the USC.

It was also pointed out that the City Administration of Bihać should fulfill the undertaken obligations at the Lipa site as soon as possible, i.e. ensure an uninterrupted water supply in the shortest possible period of time, and finish the security fence and gate.

They also reiterated the appeal to the competent institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as to international organizations that unaccompanied minors in Bira must be provided with more adequate living conditions.

"We demand primarily from UNICEF, but also from all those in charge, that these children be relocated to centers outside the Una-Sana Canton, given that they do not have the necessary accommodation and adapted living conditions here. We hope that these children will be relocated from Bira center by May 21, otherwise someone will have to take responsibility for them after the final closure of Bira", stated the members of the USC Operational Group.

They also discussed the control of the security, as well as the health and epidemiological situation, so that members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Una-Sana Canton will continue strict control of the movement of all illegal migrants in this part of BiH.

Also, the Municipal Council of Velika Kladuša was asked to cooperate, i.e. to form a coordination body and determine the location with the preconditions for the formation of a transitional camp, which would accommodate migrants from Miral and abandoned buildings.
