Džaferović: Azerbaijan is a true and sincere friend of Bosnia and Herzegovina

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, May 15 (FENA) - Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović sent a letter of gratitude to the Republic of Azerbaijan for the support that arrived in Bosnia and Herzegovina from that country during the coronavirus pandemic.

In the most difficult moments of the pandemic, Bosnia and Herzegovina received support from various sides, and one of the countries that has shown a special determination to come to the aid of the citizens and institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina is certainly the Republic of Azerbaijan, led by President Ilham Aliyev.

Multi-layered assistance arrived in Bosnia and Herzegovina from Azerbaijan. First, at the very beginning of the pandemic, an urgent shipment arrived in the form of medical equipment, and two weeks later, the Azerbaijani authorities paid more than one million KM to a special account of the Council of Ministers to fight the pandemic.

On this occasion, I would also like to draw attention to the assistance in the form of medical equipment sent to our country by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center, led by the co-president of that organization, Vaira Vike-Freiberg, and the Secretary-General Rovshan Muradov.

We recognize out true and sincere friendy in the most difficult times, and the Republic of Azerbaijan has shown in recent weeks that it is a true and sincere friend of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, stated the Presidency of BiH.
