SARAJEVO, May 14 (FENA) - A holy mass for the victims of the Bleiburg tragedy will be held in the Sarajevo Cathedral of the Sacred Heart on Saturday, May 16, with the participation of a planned number of believers to comply with current restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic and to reduce risk of any incidents, stated the Catholic Press Agency (KTA) of the BiH Bishops' Conference in a press release today.
There will be some 20 people, not counting the concelebrant priests, who have been informed in advance and whose names are known to the security services.
This press agency encourages all others to participate in regular mass in their parishes that day and offer their prayers for the victims of the Bleiburg tragedy and all the innocent victims of any nation.
The statement further says that, given the great interest of media outlets for the said holy mass, which will be led by Vrhbosna Archbishop, Vinko Puljić in the Sarajevo Cathedral, the Mass celebration will be broadcast live on RTV Herceg-Bosna and will be broadcast live on the Croatian Radio and Television (HRT), and the video material will be available free of charge to all TV outlets and others after the Mass.
Wanting to avoid, as they say, "a potential violation of the sanctity of the liturgical act and the venue itself due to the presence of many media workers, everyone will be able to download the said material and any other media workers will not be allowed to enter the cathedral.
