SARAJEVO, May 11 (FENA) - In the Federation of BiH, 382 samples were tested during the past 24 hours, and no positive cases of coronavirus were recorded.

A member of the FBiH Civil Protection Crisis Staff and Director of the FBiH Public Health Institute, Davor Pehar, points out that the number of active cases of coronavirus infection is decreasing, and there are currently 321 of them, while 637 persons have recovered. These data show that positive trend in the fight against the pandemic continues in the Federation of BiH, that is, the epidemiological situation is stable.

He believes that the conditions have been met to reduce the restrictive measures, which will be discussed at today's session of the Crisis Staff.

Also, they will discuss about when dental offices, cafes, kindergartens will start operating. As soon as they are allowed to start operating, they will receive, as Peher points out, very strict measures that they will have to respect.

He thanked citizens for adhering to all preventive measures, as well as the employees of the health sector who contributed the most to maintaining the current positive situation.

The biggest number of infected persons is in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton 261 and Zenica-Doboj 230. Thirty-five persons are hospitalized, of which one patient is on a ventilator.

On this occasion, Pehar stated that the work of hairdressing salons is not possible in shopping centers, because those centers are marked as the biggest risk for the spread of coronavirus.

“So at this stage we are not thinking about allowing the full operation of shopping centers,” said Pehar.
