STOLAC, May 11 (FENA) - The Association of Stolac War Camp Detainees issued a press release on Monday urging authorities to find and punish perpetrators who damaged monuments to the participants of the National Liberation Movement in the World War II and a memorial plaque to victims of the camp Koštana bolnica.
"While the entire civilized world was celebrating the Day of Victory over Fascism, in Stolac, monuments to the participants of the National Liberation Movement from the Second World War were painted black, that is, crossed out and damaged, as well as a memorial plaque to the victims of the Koštana bolnica camp," stated the Association of War Camp Detainees Stolac.
The Association calls on the competent state authorities to find the perpetrators of this act of vandalism and to punish them.
They note, among other things, how they (Stolac War Camp Detainees) will remain dignified and restore the memorial plaques.
