Komšić: Cardinal should pray for Jasenovac and Gradina victims, not Luburić army

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, May 8 (FENA) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić condemned the announcement of a mass at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Sarajevo, which should be held in memory of the Ustasha army of the Independent State of Croatia (NDH).

“I give myself the right to advise Cardinal Puljić, when he has already decided to serve a mass in Sarajevo for those killed in Bleiburg, among whom was a large number of war criminals, to pray for the souls of innocent victims of those same criminals,” said Komšić.

Let him remember the crime of the Black Legion of Jure Francetić, the crime of Maks Luburić in Sarajevo, and pray for the souls of thousands of innocent civilians, including children killed in the most brutal way in Jasenovac and Donja Gradina.

Or if he won't, then he should at least read something about the same criminals and their crimes, and to accept in himself that those he wants to pray for in the Sarajevo Cathedral have committed such crimes that even their Nazi masters were terrified of.

They killed people only because they were Serbs, Jews, Roma, and anti-fascists. They also killed Croats, Catholics, only because they were against their criminal project, Komšić said in a statement.
