BANJA LUKA, May 6 (FENA) - In the last 24 hours, 659 samples were tested at the Institute of Public Health and the University Clinical Center (UKCRS) in Banja Luka. Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) has been confirmed in 30 people in that entity in BiH.
So far, 1,015 cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in the RS. 391 people have recovered, and 48 patients have died from the effects of Covid-19, said the entity HealthMinister Alen Šeranić.
"In the case of 12 infected people, there is no clear epidemiological link with confirmed cases, while in others, these are contacts with people who have been confirmed to be positive earlier," Šeranić said at a press conference in Banja Luka.
Coronavirus has been confirmed for a doctor at the hospital in Nevesinje.
"102 employees at UKC Banja Luka were tested and all were negative," said the minister in charge.
Another 38 health workers from the institutions in the RS were tested, as well as 21 persons residing and working in nursing homes in Banja Luka, Bratunac and Trebinje. All tests came back negative.
"The tests for 110 people from the quarantines also came back negative, which is a good indicator," said Šeranić.
