SARAJEVO, April 30 (FENA) - The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CEC BiH), at today's session, discussed Information on conducting preparatory activities for the 2020 local elections.
CEC members highlighted the financial problems they face in implementing preparatory activities for holding local elections, as the budget of the BiH institutions for 2020 has not yet been adopted.
CEC BiH President Vanja Bjelica-Prutina said that they sent another letter yesterday, the sixth in a row, to the competent institutions, demanding that they be provided with the means to conduct 2020 local elections.
The CEC BiH today adopted the Decision on Diplomatic and Consular Missions, which plans to organize voting for the local elections in 2020, as well as the Instruction on types, methods and deadlines for determining polling stations.
The CEC BiH members also adopted the Proposal of Decision on appointment of the Commission for procurement of transport of election material for local elections in 2020, and the Proposal of Decision on amendments to the Rules of Procedure of the Central Election Commission of BiH.
The CEC BiH Budget Execution Report for the period from January 1 to March 31, 2020 was adopted, as well as Information on planned and disbursed funds to political entities in 2019 from the budget of all levels of government in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
