BIHAĆ, April 29 (FENA) - Members of Civil Protection Crisis Staff and Ministry of Health of the Una-Sana Canton (USC) Crisis Staff confirmed that as many as 11 newly infected people have been confirmed by the latest coronavirus testing.
These were samples sent to the reference laboratory in Sarajevo yesterday, and four people from Sanski Most, three from Bosanski Petrovac, and two from Bihać and Cazin are positive.
“The mitigation of certain measures has obviously affected the relaxation of population, so we have the highest number of positive cases in one day since the onset of coronavirus spread. I must appeal again to all our citizens to take this virus more seriously. It is especially important to follow recommendations and measures in the coming holiday period,” said USC Public Health Director Zarina Mulabdić.
It has been pointed out that 1762 citizens of the Una-Sana Canton have been tested so far and that 88 are positive for coronavirus.
Cantonal Minister of Health Nermina Ćemalović also announced the possibility of accommodating all positive persons in the isolation ward of the Gata Spa near Bihać, only if the number of coronavirus cases continues to increase due to non-compliance with recommendations and measures.
It was once again suggested that BiH citizens living and working abroad should temporarily refrain from returning to the country, unless necessary.
