SARAJEVO, April 28 (FENA) - The FBiH Prime Minister Fadil Novalić, at an extraordinary session of the FBiH Parliament's House of Peoples, told deputies today that if they voted for a revision of this year's budget amounting to 5,508,930,679 KM, it would be the first budget revision adopted in the region.

In this way, he says, objections that the Federation of BiH has been late in proposing economic measures, simply do not stand.

Compared to the previous amount, the budget has increased by  554,538,278 KM, or 11 percent.

An amount of 500 million KM is planned for the Economic Stabilization Fund, which will serve to implement laws to mitigate the adverse economic consequences of the pandemic.

"In addition, 20 million KM are planned for the establishment of a guarantee fund at the FBiH Development Bank, which together with the remaining 80 million KM already allocated there, would represent a potential of 100 million KM, which, in collaboration with the banks, would be a multiplied guarantee capacity in the amount of  500 million KM," explained Novalić.

An additional 21 million KM is planned with the revision of the health budget, three million KM for the quarantines and 18 million KM to remedy the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.

"We have planned 200 million KM for the assistance to the lower levels of government, primarily the cantons," said Novalić.
