Inzko: All institutions must cooperate with CEC BiH

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, April 27 (FENA) - President of the BiH Central Election Commission Vanja Bjelica-Prutina today participated in a meeting of the PIC Steering Board and heads of leading international organizations in BiH via video conference.

During the meeting, Bjelica-Prutina gave a detailed presentation of the situation regarding the organization and conduct of the 2020 local elections in BiH.

Special thanks for the presentation came from Valentin Inzko, High Representative in BiH, after the meeting.

"Considering all the challenges the Central Election Commission faces due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he believes that all BiH institutions (at all levels of government) must cooperate fully with the Central Election Commission of BiH, refrain from endangering the institution by questioning the legitimacy of its newly elected members. Unless the competent court decides otherwise, the newly elected members of the BiH Central Election Commission are full members of that institution and their role should not be compromised," the CEC BiH stated.
