Radončić: Džaferović opens door to even larger migrant parking in BiH

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, April 26 (FENA) - BiH Minister of Security, Fahrudin Radončić, issued a written statement on the latest claim by BiH Presidency Chairman Šefik Džaferović regarding his apology to the Pakistani Ambassador, stating that he favors only the Constitution, law and interests of BiH.

“Under which BiH law, thousands of foreign nationals with completely unknown identity are free to move across the country, carry cold weapons, clash with police officers, harass and rob locals and even commit more than a thousand crimes, as is the case in Krajina, without responding to anyone,” said Radončić.

He added that it is an indisputable fact that Džaferović and he have a completely opposite attitude regarding thousands of illegal economic migrants from Pakistan and other Afro-Asian countries and the consequences it may have on BiH.

“My plan that illegal economic migrants must successively, planned and permanently leave BiH in the manner of voluntary departure and return to their country of origin is obviously not accepted by BiH Presidency Chairman Šefik Džaferović and BiH Council of Ministers Deputy Chairperson Bisera Turković. They have provided public support for non-cooperative Ambassador of Pakistan,” said Minister Radončić.

He points out that "in any European or Western country, an ambassador who persistently refuses to assist the country in which he is accredited in identifying illegal migrants from his country would be urgently invited to consult with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or, even with the President of the country.

He would certainly be informed that his country must cooperate with the security structures of the host country. However, in this case, the opposite is true.

“Therefore, I repeat that Šefik Džaferović initially stopped the plan to start returning illegal economic migrants to their countries, because EU countries do not want to receive them. In his statement on Friday, he encouraged illegal economic migrants to disrespect the domestic police and the Service for Foreigners' Affairs and further opened the door to their new uncontrolled arrival in BiH,” said Minister Radončić, the BiH Ministry of Security announced.
