SARAJEVO, April 24 (FENA) – Head of the FBiH Civil Protection Crisis Staff Fahrudin Solak said today that easing the measures does not mean that citizens can relax and told them that they should still not gather, that a social distance of two meters must be maintained and it is mandatory to wear a mask.

He emphasized that they issued a new order today at the session of the FBiH Civil Protection Crisis Staff (FSCZ) to allow the movement of persons older than 65 and persons under 18 in certain days and at certain time.

“According to the judgment of the Constitutional Court of BiH, we had to define some of the measures we adopted, such as the duration of the bans and explanation. All the bans so far have had these definite elements, and today we have supplemented them,” said Solak.

Explaining the new measures adopted, he stressed that persons over the age of 65 are allowed outdoor movement on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 am to 1 pm, and persons under the age of 18 are allowed to go outside on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 2 pm to 8 pm. Persons older than 65 and under 18 who are residing in social care institutions are allowed to move within the prescribed period within the facility.

He also noted that this order does not apply to children with special needs and to children or persons in urgent need of medical assistance.

Solak said that the Crisis Staff had issued a new order repealing three orders relating to persons currently quarantined under decisions of the FBiH Minister of Health.

“The new order will replace the existing with the decisions of the cantonal sanitary inspector on health control and restriction of movement,” he said.

He added that in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the FBiH, the FBiH Inspection Directorate was ordered to apply the Health Supervision Procedure for all international passengers entering Bosnia and Herzegovina through border crossings in the FBiH.

He pointed out that at the session of the FBiH Civil Protection Crisis Staff, the previous order to ban the movement of citizens (curfew) from 8 pm to 5 am was placed out of force.

“We have considered that the situation was good and based on the data so far, we have mitigated the measures,” said Solak, but said that other measures remain mandatory.
