ZENICA, April 24 (FENA) - BiH Minister of Security, Fahrudin Radončić, visited the Government of the Zenica-Doboj Canton (ZDC) today to meet with Prime Minister Mirza Ganić, ministers and health sector representatives.
They focused on activities to combat the coronavirus pandemic, and Minister Radončić acknowledged and congratulated the health and security system, as well as the ZDC Government, for the appropriate response in the fight against the pandemic.
“ZDC was an example of how one responsible government and all its people are not afraid of something unknown, how they act bravely in the fight against the coronavirus. Doctors, in this canton, have shown extraordinary courage as it was seen in the case of the first surgery of the patient infected with coronavirus. They showed that they were treating the patient, a sick person, that they could simultaneously take care of people who had coronavirus disease, without neglecting people who had other diseases,” said Radončić.
Prime Minister Ganić and Minister of Health Adnan Jupić thanked Minister Radončić for his visit and informed him about the epidemiological situation stating that they have about 100 persons infected with coronavirus and more than 20 cured patients.
“I hope that in the next few days there will be a significantly larger number of people who will return to their homes healthy, to their regular duties, since we in the Zenica-Doboj Canton do not have patients with severe symptoms and conditions, we do not have patients on a ventilator and we have not recorded a single death,” said Jupić.
