Law enforcement agencies in BiH establish Counter-Terrorism Task Force

EAST SARAJEVO, April 23 (FENA) - An Agreement on Mutual Assistance and Operational Cooperation in Combating Terrorism entered into force on Wednesday, promoting cooperation and coordination of counter-terrorism activities, and in particular the timely exchange of information, establishment, composition, competencies, working methods and financing of working bodies and carrying out joint activities, as well as other issues in order to improve the fight against terrorism and create a safer environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Particularly significant is the formation of the Counter-Terrorism Operational Task Force, as a permanent body of signatories with headquarters at the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), the agency said.

The signatory parties to this important agreement are: State Investigation and Protection Agency, Intelligence and Security Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of Bosnia and Herzegovina, FBiH Police Directorate, Ministry of Internal Affairs of RS, Brčko District Police and the Foreigners' Affairs Service.
