Musa: In the last 24 hours, 21 positive cases, most of them in HNC

SARAJEVO, April 21 (FENA) - In the last 24 hours, 605 samples have been tested in the Federation of BiH and 21 are positive for coronavirus.

The biggest number of infected persons is in the area of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton (HNC) 232, Sarajevo Canton 102, Zenica-Doboj 102, Tuzla 82, West Herzegovina 80, Una-Sana Canton 68, Canton 10 36, Central Bosnia 35, Bosnia-Podrinje 20 and three positive cases in Posavina Canton.

Member of the Crisis Staff of the FBiH Ministry of Health and the Head of the Epidemiology Service of the FBiH Public Health Institute, Sanjin Musa, said this today at a press conference.

When it comes to gender structure, 54 percent are women and 46 percent are men.

“Currently, 66 coronavirus-positive patients have been hospitalized in the Federation of BiH, nine of them are on a ventilator. Up to date, 132 persons have recovered. Thirty-two people passed away, 18 male and 14 female. There were 22 deceased patients at the age of 65,” Musa said.

He also confirmed that no case has been reported in the Federation of BiH of someone having becoming infected again and that, due to a lack of data, it remains unknown as to whether it might happen to someone.
