SARAJEVO, April 8 (FENA) - A Turkish Army airplane carrying assistance to help BiH tackle Covid-19 pandemic has landed at the Sarajevo International Airport today.
The plane was welcomed by BiH Minister of Security Fahrudin Radončić and Turkish Ambassador to BiH Haldun Koç.
The assistance from the Republic of Turkey consists of protective equipment and tests to detect coronavirus-induced infection.
Radončić thanked for the assistance that arrived from Turkey, which is also battling the pandemic among its own population, stating that this humanitarian aid would be distributed as soon as possible.
"We have received gloves, masks, special masks and at least two thousand tests," Radončić said.
Ambassador Koç emphasized that this assistance has arrived as a sign of solidarity with the people of BiH in these difficult times.
"The equipment arrived at the instruction of the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. I handed the letter of President Erdogan, addressed to the BiH Presidency Chairman, Šefik Dzaferović," said Ambassador Haldun Koç.
