Pehar: 4.038 people tested in FBiH since start of coronavirus infection

SARAJEVO, April 8 (FENA) – 4.038 people have been tested in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina since the start of coronavirus infection. Of that number, 439 were positive for the Covid-19 virus, said FBiH Civil Protection Staff and Director of the FBiH Institute of Public Health Davor Pehar at today's conference of representatives of FBiH institutions.

He emphasized that slightly more women than men were infected within the total number of patients in the FBiH, and that in the past 24 hours 267 people had been tested and 23 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed.

He also stressed that there are currently 59 hospitalized people, five of whom are seriously ill and on a ventilator.

“To date, 21 deaths have been confirmed the FBiH, and 62 percent, or 13 deaths, are in the age group of people over 65,” Pehar said.
