SARAJEVO, April 6 (FENA) – Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Fadil Novalić said today that employers that did not regularly pay their obligations by February 29 will not be eligible for the subsidies provided due to Covid-19 pandemic.

FBiH Prime Minister also commented on the Law on Mitigating the Negative Economic Consequences of the Coronavirus Pandemic and said that if the FBiH Parliament passes the law quickly, it would be a guarantee that workers should not be laid off.

“The Law will be submitted to parliamentary procedure tonight. It cannot be considered separately from the budget rebalance because it is part of the rebalance, and tomorrow night that document will also be prepared,” announced Novalić.

When it comes to citizens' loans, FBiH Prime Minister Fadil Novalić said it is absolutely certain that those who lose their jobs will not have to return them.

He explained that the FBiH Government would settle employers' minimum wage obligations for everyone in the FBiH on an equal footing, and the employer could pay higher wages to employees, but if they were higher than the minimum wage, which is desired, employers will have to pay the wage differential.
