BiH CoM adopts the information of BiH Presidency at an extraordinary session

SARAJEVO, April 1 (FENA) - The BiH Council of Ministers has adopted the Information on the Implementation of the BiH Presidency conclusions and defined operational measures to stop the spread of coronavirus, proposed by Council of Ministers Chairman Zoran Tegeltija.

The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers of BiH will submit the information to the BiH Presidency.

The information outlines activities and decisions taken by the Council of Ministers from March 17, 2020 to date, to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

The Council of Ministers of BiH, at the proposal of the Ministry of Security, adopted a Decision on amendments to the Decision on the temporary closure of border crossings in air traffic for passenger traffic in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The decision will be in force until midnight, 30 April 2020.

In this way, landing and departure from airports in Bosnia and Herzegovina of all aircraft carrying passengers in international air traffic shall be prohibited in order to protect against the introduction and spread of infectious diseases on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The exceptions include humanitarian flights, emergency medical transport, search and rescue,  mail and goods transport, as well as non-passenger technical flights and forced landings.

The Council of Ministers of BiH, at the proposal of the Ministry of Security of BiH, adopted a Decision on seeking international assistance for protection and rescue.

With this decision, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina seeks international protection and rescue assistance for the prevention, protection, treatment and treatment of the SARS-CoV2 virus and mandates the competent institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina to carry out the necessary procedures for its admission.

The allocation of assistance funds, material and financial, will be made by the Council of Ministers of BiH upon the proposal of the Coordination Body for Protection and Rescue.

It was concluded that the Armed Forces facilities that house the AFBiH members could be placed at disposal but for precautionary and security measures this should not be carried out until the utmost urgency and without a specific decision of the BiH Presidency.

The Council of Ministers adopted a Conclusion expressing its commitment that primarily extraordinary sessions of the Council of Ministers may be held by video conference, when circumstances require, during the state of natural or other disasters in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, stated the Council of Ministers of BiH.
