SC PM Nenadic speaks with US Ambassador Nelson on the coronavirus crisis

SARAJEVO, March 30 (FENA) - The Sarajevo Canton Prime Minister Mario Nenadić spoke by phone with United States Ambassador to BiH Eric Nelson about the situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Ambassador Nelson informed Prime Minister Nenadić that the assistance the United States is about to send to Bosnia and Herzegovina would be implemented through United Nations agencies in BiH, through the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina as coordinator, and through the subordination of the entities, cantons and municipalities.

Prime Minister Nenadic briefed Ambassador Nelson on a number of measures taken by the Government of the Canton and the Civil Protection Service Crisis Staff of the Canton in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Nenadić thanked Ambassador Nelson for the assistance provided to Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Sarajevo Canton and offered the Government's assistance in protecting the US citizens residing in the territory of the Sarajevo Canton and the Embassy staff.

Ambassador Nelson and Prime Minister Nenadić have agreed to regularly exchange information on the situation in the Canton with a view to jointly enhance all the activities undertaken to combat this global problem, stated the SC Government.
