SARAJEVO, March 30 (FENA) - An extraordinary session of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina scheduled for tomorrow has been canceled.

The Collegium will meet tomorrow in Sarajevo to discuss how the House should function due to coronavirus pandemic.

Speaker of the House Mirsad Zaimović confirmed this for FENA and explained that at the session already canceled, amendments to the Rules of Procedure of the House of Representatives should have been considered. More specifically, the Rules of Procedure needed to be adapted to the new circumstances, since the 'state of emergency' in this act is only in case of war, but not in case of pandemic.

In canceling the session of the House, which has 98 members, Zaimović followed the orders and recommendations of the authorities to ban gatherings during the pandemic. In addition, at least five Members of Parliament, who are doctors, suggested that maintaining the session would be too risky in the current circumstances, he said.
