Čović-Sabolić: Harmonized political action and coordination

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, March 29 (FENA) - Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH PA), Dragan Čović, and Croatian Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ivan Sabolić, discussed today the current health and epidemiological situation related to the coronavirus pandemic in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia.

They exchanged opinions, experiences and views regarding pandemic measures taken.

The interlocutors pointed out that in all measures of protection in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia there must be harmonized political action and coordination, bearing in mind that these are two neighboring countries with the longest interstate border.

In addition to protecting the health of all residents, the need for urgent action on the economy, job protection, various incentives and benefits in domestic production and agriculture was emphasized.

The communication between the institutions, which successfully solved every vital problem so far, was also assessed as good.

Officials stressed that co-operation and mutual assistance in the fight against coronavirus are crucial, as well as Bosnia and Herzegovina's inclusion in European aid funds, especially because of the important role the Republic of Croatia plays as it took over the presidency of the Council of the EU, the BiH PA announced.
