Ajdinović: BiH citizens brought back successfuly from Rome to BiH

SARAJEVO, March 28 (FENA) - Director of the FBiH Inspection Directorate, Anis Ajdinović announced today that a safety-epidemiological operation has been successfully carried out to bring back BiH citizens from Rome via an especially arranged flight. 

After the plane landed, passengers underwent medical and epidemiological treatment and all luggage underwent disinfection treatment. None of the passengers, according to what could be observed on the spot, had any health problems.

A total of 47 passengers arrived by plane, of whom 18 BiH citizens residing in the FBiH and have been accommodated at the Bjelave Student Center in Sarajevo, 25 BiH citizens residing in the Republika Srpska, as well as four BiH citizens residing in the Brčko District who have been quarantined by the competent institutions of the RS in Lukavica, where they were transported to with the assistance of the RS Ministry of Interior. Three crew members were also placed under mandatory health surveillance by a decision of the FBiH sanitary inspector.

"It was a very complex task and a large number of institutions were involved. Everything went on smoothly," Ajdinović said about the operation launched by the BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to the information available to date, the FBiH sanitary inspectors at border crossings have issued a total of 19,047 orders of placing passengers/persons under medical supervision/restricted movement/isolation for a period of 14 days.

Due to the activities carried out, Director Ajdinović thanked the inspectors who put maximum effort 24 hours a day on the front line of defense against the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

"I also thank the Cantonal Police and the Inspection Authorities, the BiH Border Police, the FBiH Civil Protection Directorate and all other bodies and institutions with which we work closely to counteract the spread of the pandemic and protect the population of BiH," said Ajdinović.
