Norway sends 7.5 million kroner to help BiH fight coronavirus

SARAJEVO, March 26 (FENA) - Bosnia and Herzegovina's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Norway, Nedim Makarević, confirmed for FENA that Norway has allocated 7.5 million Norwegian kroner for BiH to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The announcement came yesterday. The funds will be transferred and implemented through UNDP in BiH as it is most effective and prioritized, related to the development of the situation in BiH and specific needs, based on the demand of our relevant institutions. The way, type and form of assistance of 7.5 million Norwegian kroner will be subsequently announced through organizations implementing it.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank once again friendly Norway that is ready to help us although it is also fighting a great fight against the coronavirus," Makarević points out.
