SARAJEVO, March 25 (FENA) - Deputy Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Finance Minister and Commander of the Civil Protection Service Crisis Staff, Jelka Milićević, confirmed today that the staff has recommended new sanctions for those who do not respect self-imposed measures.

The crisis staff issued a recommendation on sanctions against persons who violate self-isolation measures and recommended that the cantonal inspection bodies and the ministries of internal affairs, within the framework of checks on violations of isolation measures in addition to misdemeanor measures, they also use provisions of the FBiH Criminal Code in terms of criminal liability for criminal offenses against health and spread of infection and preventing an official from performing official duty and attacking an official in the performance of security activities.

According to the estimates of Crisis Staff of the Ministry of Health, Milićević added, we are confronted with the same problems as our neighboring countries and urged that self-isolation measures are not violated so that these persons would not threat their own health, but also health of their loved ones and their environment.

“It is recommended that the competent authorities publicly disclose the name, surname and place of residence of those found not in compliance with self-isolation measures issued. It is also recommended that the cantonal, city and municipal civil protection service crisis staffs consider the possibility of finding adequate space for accommodation and isolation of persons,” said Milićević.

She also confirmed that the FBiH Government is working rapidly on all activities related to rescue of the FBiH economy, and that there is ongoing redistribution of certain institutions and coordination for easier work and faster decision-making.

Milićević stressed that as much as institutions take measures to prevent the spread of the infection, citizens are also an important link in this chain because they are the ones who can report all those who do not respect the measures imposed.

She also presented the data of the Ministry of Health, saying that two larger clusters were identified, one of which is related to the events in Konjic and so far 22 cases and three generational contacts have been confirmed, and six cases have been confirmed in Mostar. There are three clusters recorded in the Una-Sana Canton.

In the Federation of BiH, the number of persons tested is 464, four are new cases, and there are 52 cases in the Federation of BiH and three have passed away.
