Contested decision of Canton 10 revoked but criminal charges remain

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, March 23 (FENA) - Following the reaction of the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the decision of the Canton 10 to ban the entry of BiH citizens to that canton, which is contrary to the BiH Constitution and the announcement of BiH Minister of Security Fahrudin Radončić that he would file criminal charges against the Crisis Staff Commander Ivan Jozić, this morning the Civil Protection Crisis Staff of the Canton 10 issued a decision revoking the previously adopted decision.

Nevertheless, the BiH Ministry of Security stated that it would refer the entire case to the competent Prosecutor's Office.

In his response to the controversial decision, the BiH Security Minister Fahrudin Radončić stated that the BiH Constitution guarantees the right of every citizen to move freely throughout the country.
