BRČKO, March 23 (FENA) - HAS Robotics company from Brčko, with the help of a 3D printer, started the production of protective masks intended primarily for medical personnel who are in direct contact with persons infected with coronavirus (Covid-19).

The owner of the company, Haris Salkić is a student at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Sarajevo and is the first winner of the SBF (Sarajevo Business Forum) Start-Up Challenge business ideas competition organized by BBI Bank in cooperation with Hayat Television and partners.

Haris Salkić designed a fully functional robot arm prototype for use in teaching aids in primary and secondary schools and technical schools in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

After coronavirus infection hit Bosnia and Herzegovina as well, HAS Robotics decided to discontinue the production of robotic arms and focus all production facilities on the production of protective masks.

The masks are intended primarily for medical professionals who take samples for coronavirus testing, therefore intended for those who are directly at risk. These are masks that cover the entire face of a healthcare professional and are made of PLA plastic and PET-G transparent film.

The model of the mask was taken from a Czech company 'Prusa', which shared it free of charge to the world for non-commercial use. The mask was approved by the Czech Ministry of Health, so it is a tested and safe model, Salkić pointed out.
