SARAJEVO, March 22 (FENA) - Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Fahrudin Radončić, given the overwhelming challenges posed by coronavirus pandemic, the BiH Council of Ministers, and especially the BiH Ministry of Security, has decided to suspend the decision adopted earlier this year in January on the suspension from duty the Assistant Minister and Head of the Sector for Protection and Rescue Samir Agić.
The decision on the preventive suspension of Samir Agić was issued due to the confirmed indictment of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH in the Dragan Mektić case, under which Agić has been suspended from that position until the court proceedings are completed, stated the BiH Ministry of Security.
However, because of the extremely difficult tasks that lie ahead BiH in fighting the coronavirus pandemic, including the BiH Ministry of Security's Sector for Protection and Rescue, or the BiH Operational Communication Center 112, Radončić addressed the BiH Prosecutor's Office last week.
"After obtaining consent, Samir Agić will take up his duties as of tomorrow, at full capacity, and under the conditions ordered by the Prosecutor's Office of BiH," say the Ministry of Security.
The suspension measure will be reactivated upon the cessation of the state of natural or other disaster in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina declared by the BiH Council of Ministers at an extraordinary session on March 17.
