BANJA LUKA, March 21 (FENA) - Presidency member Milorad Dodik said that a ban on movement for all citizens is being introduced in the Republika Srpska from 8 pm to 5 am as of today.

The curfew is being introduced as of tonight, as it is necessary because of, he added, irresponsible individuals at the time of the coronavirus epidemic.

“The situation is very serious. That's why we're introducing curfew. The measure goes into effect tonight, and runs from 8pm to 5am. The minimum fine for those who do not have a permit to walk the streets during this period is 500 KM. People need to understand that every type of contact must be eliminated. I urge citizens to help us and report any movement, anonymously. We cannot tolerate individuals who have a rebellion against society,” Dodik said.

He told the Banja Luka ATV that the measure would be in force as long as there is need for it.

Another measure is to prohibit persons over the age of 65 from leaving their homes and flats with the recommendation that they be obliged to isolate themselves and only contact the household with the precautionary measures provided.

He said that some people violated these measures, although, as he said, the situation is very serious and everyone must act responsibly.

So far, 59 cases positive for the new coronavirus have been confirmed in that BiH entity (Banja Luka-45, Čelinac-3, Laktaši-2, Srbac-1, Prnjavor-1, Ribnik -1, Modriča-1, Kozarska Dubica-1 , Prijedor-1, Bijeljina-1, Gradiška-1 and Derventa-1).

All persons are of stable health status, confirmed the RS Ministry of Health.
