SARAJEVO, March 20 (FENA) - The question of channeling IPA funds due to the situation with the new Covid-19 coronavirus is a matter for the European Commission, and when decisions are made at EU level for the Western Balkan countries, the Directorate for European integrations (DEI) expressed confidence that Bosnia and Herzegovina would be part of them.
The Directorate for European Integration said this for FENA after the European Commission announced its consideration of the possibility of granting unused IPA funds to candidate and potential candidate countries for EU membership.
“The Directorate, within its competence, is in contact with the Commission and the Delegation of the European Union to BiH on this issue. Upon receiving official information from the Delegation or possibly making relevant decisions in the EU, we will be able to speak in more detail on the subject, including the amount of funding, aid priorities and type of assistance, and the public will be informed in a timely manner,” the DEI stated.
