SARAJEVO, March 16 (FENA) - A meeting with reporters from some of the leading media in Bosnia and Herzegovina has been organized by the BiH Association of Journalists, following the emerging situation of confronting coronavirus epidemic and the media reporting on the Covid 19 pandemic.
"Attention has been drawn to the credibility and expertise of the information sources. The journalists also pledged to respect the decisions on employee safety, and in this regard agreed to reduce the number of journalist teams at the events themselves, and jointly share and publish the information.
With the support of all governmental and non-governmental efforts in the emerging situation, and the journalists' orientation to the credibility of the information, the journalists emphasized their commitment to citizens and the distribution of information that is credible, ensuring timely reporting and prevention of panic and fear," it is stated at the meeting.
The event was initially conceived as a panel discussion 'Responsibility of the Media in a Time of Crisis', but due to the current limitations in the organization of events, an extraordinary meeting was held on the same topic. The meeting was attended by key representatives of the media outlets in BiH. The meeting was held with the assistance of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in BiH," stated the Journalists' Association of BiH.
