BANJA LUKA, March 16 (FENA) - Milorad Dodik, president of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), confirmed today that he stands true to the conclusions of the Republika Srpska National Assembly that representatives of that BiH entity do not participate in decision-making in the institutions at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina "with an exception on the matters dealing with coronavirus epidemic."
"We believe it would be irresponsible not to decide on the issues concerning the coronavirus situation," Dodik told reporters in Banja Luka, adding that the parliamentary conclusions remain in place for all other matters.
Dodik, who is also a member of the BiH Presidency, claims that the SDS president Mirko Šarović "has brought the company Alumina from Zvornik in an awkward position by claiming that the company was trading substances that, he could pose a threat to major world powers."
"When you say something like that, it stays on record ... even though it is a lie and harmful to the RS, as is this story... I was informed that there were some contacts, and knowing about the US sanctions against Iran, we have no reason to risk anything. I called the Alumina general manager and asked him to cut off all those contacts, which was the only thing that had happened. Nothing concrete came out of it," Dodik said, accusing Šarovic of "lying".
