SARAJEVO, March 10 (FENA) - Prime Minister of the Sarajevo Canton Mario Nenadić received today United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Resident Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina Steliana Nedera and UNDP Deputy Resident Representative in BiH Sukhrob Khoshmukhamedov.
Nedera informed Nenadić about the started projects and suggested realization of some new projects.
The implementation of 20 projects, with a total value of about KM 25 million, under which UNDP has an important partner role in their implementation is underway. The projects are focused on implementing reform processes at all levels of government, all with the aim of achieving concrete results.
“UNDP is always there to help domestic partners, and we are especially pleased with the opportunity to continue our cooperation with the Government of the Sarajevo Canton, where we will focus on sustainable capacity building of partner institutions,” Nedera said.
SC Prime Minister Nenadić thanked UNDP for the information and support provided for the institutions of the Sarajevo Canton, and announced the improvement of the initiated processes and additional joint activities regarding specific projects, especially regarding the capacity building of the SC institutions.
He particularly emphasized his interest in projects that will strengthen domestic institutions to independently carry out legally prescribed tasks in the future, as well as international and other programs and projects. To this end, Nenadić proposed the implementation and negotiation of new joint projects, PR Office of the Sarajevo Canton announced.
