SARAJEVO, March 5 (FENA) - Economic Forum of Bosnia and Herzegovina 2020 began today in Sarajevo, bringing together a number of government, business and economic representatives.

It is an eminent economic gathering, as described by FBiH Prime Minister Fadil Novalić who is one of the panelists.

“Five countries participate in its work. It is good that the economy is trying to remain the center of reality in BiH, although it has strong competition in political negative events,” said Novalic.

He added that in the past five years, the economic situation in BiH has improved, as opposed to the political one.

BiH Council of Ministers Chairman Zoran Tegeltija expressed his hope that the forum will adopt conclusions that will help key political decision makers be more successful, so that economic growth is greater than it is now.

Forum is organized by Faculty of Economics of the University in Sarajevo (EFSA) and Dean of EFSA Jasmina Selimović said that the organizers are gathering leading economic experts for the fourth time.

“Our goal is to find concrete proposals and solutions for BiH, to improve its position in the region, but also something that our citizens will feel like improvement,” said Selimović.

The program of the forum is designed in form of two panels - the Sustainable Development Goals and the importance of digital development in the context of the Western Balkan countries.
