Minister Turković meets with WBF Executive Director Gjergj Murr

SARAJEVO, February 28 (FENA) – BiH Minister of Foreign Affairs Bisera Turković met with Gjergj Murr, Executive Director of the Western Balkans Fund, yesterday, on the sidelines of a meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Višegrad Group and of the Western Balkans in Prague.

The officials discussed the achievements of the Western Balkans Fund so far and its role in strengthening the capacity of civil society in the Western Balkans. There was also talk of Bosnia and Herzegovina's initiative to increase Member States' contributions to the operation of the Western Balkans Fund and how these funds would be spent.

The Western Balkans Fund is an intergovernmental initiative established in 2015 by the WB6 Contracting Parties (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia), based in Tirana. The main objective of the projects is to promote common values ​​among citizens, civil society and institutions in the region, to strengthen cooperation and contacts between people in the Western Balkans, PR Office of the BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
