Minister Grubeša meets with representatives of CoE Court of Human Rights

SARAJEVO, February 27 (FENA) - Minister of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina Josip Grubeša, hosted a meeting on Wednesday at the proposal of Fredrik Sundberg, Katarina Nedeljković, representatives of the Department for the Execution of Judgments of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.

The topic of the meeting was the implementation of the judgments in the Sejdić-Finci case and the Baralija case judgment that will be discussed at the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers at a session in Strasbourg from 3 to 5 March, which will be attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Representatives of the Department for the Execution of Judgments have put forward a plan for the work of international bodies to monitor the implementation of those judgments.

The participants of the meeting agreed that it is necessary to establish procedures for resolving these judgments in order to make it easier to find specific solutions for each case.

Minister Grubeša emphasized that the Ministry would, within the scope of its competence, implement the agreed solutions in the BiH legislative system, and accepted the offered cooperation of representatives of the Council of Europe’s Human Rights Court Department for the Execution of Judgments, the BiH Ministry of Justice said.
