Dodik: Verbal conflicts will not endanger peace in BiH

BANJA LUKA, February 27 (FENA) - President of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) Milorad Dodik said today that severe verbal conflicts will not endanger peace in BiH, that there is no plan for secession in the RS and that he wants that original Dayton Agreement is respected.

“We are not calling for war and conflict. There will be no war. There is no plan for secession in the RS. We made no decision of that kind. Secession is not included in the RS documents, but of course there is talk about it. We do not want any destabilization, and our legitimate aim is to restore the original powers to the RS,” Dodik said at a press conference in Banja Luka.

He criticized yesterday's statements by SDA leader Bakir Izetbegović, SBB Fahrudin Radončić and DF Željko Komšić, stating that they were "attacks on RS and Serbia and its president, Aleksandar Vučić ...", which are not a disturbing factor according to him, as it is presented, therefore he rejects such statements.

“BiH is a deeply divided society, because not everyone is respected in the same way, and the international community is here on the side of Bosniak politics. Two peoples, Serbs and Croats, are dissatisfied, and you cannot build a state on political inequality of one constituent people” he asserted.

He reiterated that the Law on Termination of the Mandate of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC) of BiH in its current convocation, proposed by SDS MP Dragan Mektić, would not be adopted in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament.

He claims RS will withdraw approval for HJPC formation, and he has also ruled out the use of "Bonn powers" by The High Representative in BiH Valentin Inzko, who said Dodik crossed the "red line", stating that he would not respect the BiH Constitutional Court's decision on agricultural land.

Dodik reiterated his dissatisfaction with, as he said, detrimental decisions of the BiH Constitutional Court for the RS, adding that the RS National Assembly's conclusions regarding the work of that BiH judicial institution remain in force, criticizing the opposition in the RS for having abandoned them.
