BANJA LUKA, February 26 (FENA) - Milorad Dodik, the President of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), claims that the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly will not pass a law on termination of the mandate of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC) of BiH, as proposed by the SDS MP Dragan Mektić.
SDS and PDP MPs in the BiH House of Representatives voted in favor of the law.
- This is a bad message even though earlier conclusions of the National Assembly stated that no decision was made - Dodik said at the RS National Assembly tonight.
The House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted today the proposal for a law on termination of the mandate of the HJPC BiH, as it currently stands, proposed by MP Dragan Mektić.
The law stipulates that the mandate of the HJPC BiH, in its current form, will end on June 15 this year.
Judicial bodies, bar associations and institutions of BiH that elect members to the Council, in accordance with the HJPC Law, are required to carry out the process of electing new members of the Council no later than June 8 - the proposed law states.
